Appointment Of A New Chair Of The KeNIC Board

The Kenya Network Information Centre has appointed Mr. Geoffrey Shimanyula to Chair its board of Directors.

Mr.Shimanyula is the Commercial Director in the Digital Division at Telkom Kenya and previously worked at Liquid Telecom as the Chief Commercial Officer. He has been in the industry for over two decades and counting.

Under his leadership, KeNIC looks forward to become a leader in the digital space and a respectable voice in the ICT and Domain Name System (DNS) sector both locally and globally. Mr. Shimanyula will also lead the organization in driving its vision and strategy that will ensure KeNIC is positioned as the enabler of a digital economy.

The Board is committed to fully support Mr. Shimanyula and wishes him success in driving KeNIC to become a leading Country Code Top-level domain (ccTLD) Registry in Africa.

The Kenya Network Information Centre (KENIC) was established through the facilitation of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) and was issued with its license by the authority on 16th December 2015.KENIC is a company, limited by guarantee, licensed to manage and administer the dot ke Country Code Top-Level Domain (.ke ccTLD) name.
