About Africa Top Level Domains (AfTLD)
Africa Top Level Domains Organization (AFTLD) is the association of country code Top Level Domain registry (ccTLD) managers in the Africa Region.
The objective of AFTLD is to provide a forum for ccTLD managers from the Africa Region to discuss issues regarding management of ccTLD registries. AFTLD then presents their common position on key global issues in the Domain Name System (DNS) industry in International meetings.
AFTLD is looking for energetic, innovative, and goal-driven people who would offer world-class services to its stakeholders and clients.
AFTLD seeks self-motivated personnel to fill the vacant position of project and admin manager (remote)
Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: Remote
Job Description: Reporting to General Manager(GM).
The Project Manager’s responsibilities include:
Support the team on project phase in, phase out transition and sustainability planning and execution of projects as required.
Support the team with high quality coordination, document review and document management of all projects, Implements and supports the goals of AFTLD as communicated with respect to the organisation’s objectives.
Supports the GM in their quest to ensure the highest quality out – put on projects.
Supports other project stakeholders in providing comprehensive documentation at every stage of the project lifecycle
Support the GM as they conduct regular meetings with different project teams.
Support the organization to develop and ensure appropriate tools and strategy to monitor progress and quality and impact of the project is implemented.
Positively contribute to resolving issues that come up during project implementation. Immediately escalates significant issues that may come across to GM
Engage with ccTLDs to obtain challenges and escalate same, to the GM
Ensure that all correspondence is received and acknowledged by stakeholders, and that responses are quickly processed and sent.
Documenting And Reporting
Ensures program and financial reports are prepared and in place for project design and alignment.
Develop reports as and when required
Provide the business analysis to ensure that solutions are aligned with business and organizational goals
Qualifications
A good first degree in Business Administration, Education, Information Technology or related discipline. A Post Graduate Degree in related discipline would be an added advantage
Minimum of 5 years work experience in internet governance, the DNS industry or policy advocacy would be required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management
Deep understanding and proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline
Proven ability to solve problems creatively
Demonstrable Experience in developing strategic and business plans
Strong influencing and negotiation skills with an ability to engage with others to achieve positive results
Strong execution skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with a high sense of responsibility, accountability, and dependability
