Welcome to ICANN86 Policy Forum in Seville, Spain. ICANN’s hybrid four-day Policy Forum is focused on current policy development work, outreach, and daily opportunities to network with the community.
ICANN86 Policy Forum will be held in Seville, Spain at the FIBES Conference and Exhibition Centre from 8 – 11 June 2026.
This will be a hybrid meeting with both in-person and virtual participation.
All sessions will be conducted during regular working hours in Seville, Spain (Central European Summer Time, CEST, Commences on 29 March 2026 / UTC+2:00 hours).
Prep Week will be conducted on 20 and 21 May, 2026.
In-Person attendance registration remains open until 7 June. (On-site registration will not be available.)

Entry requirements for travellers who require a Schengen Visa to enter Spain vary depending on their nationality and the purpose of travel.
As ICANN86 is an international conference, attendees who require a Schengen Visa are strongly advised to review the official visa guidance issued by the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, Unión Europea y Cooperación (Government of Spain).

June is a busy travel period in Seville, with high visitor numbers and strong tourist activity across the city. As with any popular tourist destination, participants are advised to remain aware of their surroundings and take precautions against common petty crime and tourist scams.
In June, the climate is typically hot and dry, with daytime temperatures often ranging between 30–35°C (86–95°F), strong sunshine, and minimal rainfall. light clothing, sun protection, and good hydration are recommended.
The ICANN86 venue is located in the eastern part of Seville in a modern residential and business district. The area is generally safe, with low crime levels and no specific security concerns beyond normal urban precautions. It offers a quieter environment than the historic city centre, where petty theft is more common.
There are no mandatory vaccines required for travelling to Spain. However, it is advisable to ensure that you are up-to-date with routine vaccines and consider additional vaccines based on your health status and travel plans.

Single terminal building handling both arrivals and departures. The terminal design reflects Seville’s cultural heritage with architectural features inspired by local motifs (e.g., orange trees and arches).

Average travel time from the airport to the FIBES Exhibition and Conference Centre is approximately 20 minutes.
Arriving at Seville Airport is made convenient by the availability of 24-hour taxi services located outside the terminal. This ensures a seamless transition from your flight to your next destination, whether you are heading into the city or elsewhere.
Location and Accessibility Upon arrival, taxis are readily accessible just steps from the check-in desks. Lining up at the taxi rank lying just opposite the terminal’s Ground Floor (on the arrivals level).
Fare Information/Estimated Fare from Seville Airport to City Center Seville cabs are metered. Still, they have set fares when it comes to airport rides. From 07:00 am to 09:00 pm on weekdays, rides from Seville Airport to city center cost €24.98. Night journeys from 09:00 pm to 07:00 am and rides on weekends and public holidays are charged at €27.84. Payments are accepted in cash or by a card.
Estimated Travel Time from Seville Airport to City Center The ride from Seville Airport to city center lasts around 18-25 minutes. During peak hours (07:30 am to 09:00 am, 2:00 pm to 03:00 pm, and 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm on weekdays), the journey to downtown may last up to 40 minutes.
Please keep in mind that many Seville airport taxi drivers don’t speak English fluently. Therefore, you should have your destination’s name or address written down.
Uber, Cabify, and Bolt are readily available for transport from Seville Airport (SVQ) to the city center with pick-up points located at the airport’s main terminal exit. Apps offer upfront, fixed pricing, and you can book in advance. For the greatest accuracy and to locate pickup zones for other ride options, please refer to the directions in the app when requesting a ride.
You may request your ride in advance 90 days prior to your travel or, after your landing to Seville.
Steps to follow to secure your ride via Uber:
When you are ready, open the Uber app to request a ride to your destination. Choose the “SVQ Airport” option that suits your group size and luggage needs.
Follow directions in the application and you will get directions about Seville Airport pickup points directly in the application.
Meet your driver. Go to your assigned SVQ pickup location as specified by the application. Please note, this location may not always be at your nearest exit. Your driver’s name, license plate, and car color will show in the app. Verify your ride before you get in. If you can’t find your driver, contact them through the app.
